· 1911 Charles Isaac Fenwick Whitney establishes the real estate firm of C.I.F. Whitney in Toronto
· 1931 George Whitney opens a real estate and insurance brokerage in Kitchener. President of the K-W Real Estate Board During his real estate career he sold residential, commercial & industrial real estate and became the first Canadian member of the Society of Industrial Realtors (SIR). 1st Canadian to serve on the Governing Council of SIR
· 1946 Charles “Richard” Whitney embarks upon a real estate career with his father’s firm, George Whitney Limited. Richard becomes a Broker & obtains his American & Canadian Appraisal Certification Registered Property Manager President of the K-W Real Estate Board and introduced the MLS system to the K-W Board in 1955.
· 1975 John Whitney joins his father’s firm Becomes a Broker & renames the firm Whitney & Company Obtains his Society of Industrial Realtors Accreditation (SIOR) Brand name change to DTZ Barnicke Waterloo Wellington Ltd (2007)
· 1982 Colleen Whitney joins her husband, John Whitney’s firm
· 2010 Ginger Whitney obtains her real estate sales representative accreditation and joins her father’s firm, DTZ Barnicke Waterloo Wellington Ltd |
